There are many different activities to do in the Grossarl valley. 

Nordic walking is the newest trend sport of the last few years. Through the use of poles while walking, the arms and upper body gets a work out as well. In Grossarl there are many great places to practice this form of sport.  We would be happy to help you choose your tour. 

Grossarl has a full program of activities the entire summer long. Many christian and international fests are celebrated in the Grossarl valley. In particular, the Bauernherbst (farmer's harvest festival) is a must-see.  Summer is also the time to take advantage of experiencing an alpine mass in the mountains. 

For those who love water, Grossarl has an outdoor swimming pool open from mid-June to mid-September. There is also a mini golf course in the same area.  In case the weather doesn't play along you can also use hotel pools in Grossarl or visit the alpine spa in the Gastein valley. 

The river in Grossarl is a paradise for fisherman of all kinds. Fly fishing can be done but only with a fly rod and with wet or dry flies as lures.  It is also possible to find Alpine salmon at the Ötzlsee at the end of the Huettschlag valley.  This fish is as tasty as it is rare.
